# Pricing

> What is free forever, what is paid and who qualifies for free use as an open-source project.

Status: Planned for 0.5 · Canonical: https://mainsdk.dev/docs/community/pricing · Updated: 2026-10-28

| What | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| Every in-app capability: interfaces, local drivers, the CLI, checks that run in your repository | Free, Apache-2.0 |
| Open-source projects | Free forever |
| Hosted checks and fleet reports for teams (MainSDK Cloud) | Paid; priced when it opens |

**Open-source eligibility.** An open-source project gets MainSDK free forever when its repository is public, its licence is approved by the Open Source Initiative, and it is not run for profit by a company. You write one line in your README that says you use MainSDK. There is nothing to apply for and no limit on users.

Details are on the [open-source page](open-source.md).
